Branding: It’s for more than just cattle!
On Monday, October 21, I presented a speaking engagement at the Charlotte chapter of the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE). We gathered in the center of the Queen City at the Omni Charlotte Hotel for a night of engaged education.
I work with NACE groups around the country and serve as President of the Dallas chapter of NACE because I believe in the organization. This group attracts some of the best of the best in the hospitality community! NACE is full of catering and event professionals around the country who are leaders in our field. They tend to place high value on collaboration, education and inspiration. As a result, the group is full of trail blazers setting the pace for others in our community. I couldn’t ask for a better audience!
NACE Education Session
In this education session, NACE attendees gained actionable inspiration to grow and define their brands. The art of branding places a distinct mark on a good, brand or service to clearly illustrate ownership. This is exactly what ranchers do to their cattle! Fortunately, you don’t have to own a ranch to be great at branding. Hospitality business professionals have vast opportunity to create unique and clear content that defines who they are. In this process, they show their clients and partners exactly what they stand for. When they do this, what makes them special becomes very clear.
We also reviewed helpful tricks and tips to bring that branding to life by making images rather than just taking photos. NACE attendees viewed examples of how to take images from “okay” to great – even just using a smartphone!
