15 Jul Progress Not Perfection
One of my bad habits that I have battled for quite some time is over-engineering things in the pursuit of perfection. Re-writing a post way too many times, laboring over a graphic incessantly, overthinking an idea for so long its relevance is long past due. Let’s just get this out of the way…Perfection is an illusion. It’s subjective, unattainable and even if you feel like you have achieved it, it would be exhausting and unsustainable. Progress, on the other hand, is something that you can achieve both frequently and in great measure…all you have to do is do the work. Identify areas where you can be better, stronger, faster. Set SMART goals and implement steps to achieve. Literally, you can make progress EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Incidentally, you may be wondering why I was not online Live this morning. (who am I kidding, OF COURSE you were wondering) I mean, it’s Wednesday and it is long past 10AM Central. No need to wonder my friends, here is what’s going on…
1. We drove to see my family in South Texas and I am feeding my soul this week with some long overdue time with them.
2. It is my birthday week so I am spending a little less time working and a little more time reflecting and celebrating.
3. I am doing the work to level up. Simply put, I want to keep sharing my journey with you but I want to make some strategic shifts and some tactical changes.
So, pardon my dust as I make improvements to ensure you have the best possible experience as a client, fan or follower. Here’s to the People First Then Profit Movement!
